missed two of my favourite shows yesterday. family guy and whose line. but its fine. i'll live. anyhow, went to parveen's place on monday. she whipped up a good batch of curry. and chicken at that..yum. :) then there was desert. bread and butter pudding if im not wrong. it had cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins, bread, whipped cream, milk, the works.

i like the smell of cinnamon. place cinnamon sticks by my comp to liven up the place. i like the smell of orange and lemon and lime. and hot tea infused with a generous amount of sliced lemon or any citrus fruit. very refreshing to the senses.

as for tuesday, left home near 1030am after watching salem's lot. curiously entertaining no matter how old it is and funny the vampires look. thanks puff..for the recommendation. after the movie and breakfast, made my way for lido. 1115am shattered glass. ended at about 1pm. rushed to plaza sing for the 130pm show- pieces of april. i enjoyed both movies. cried watching the last. first movie stumped me. is glass in the wrong? shouldnt he be excused? if youve watched the movie, do share your thoughts.

sometimes what we perceive to be the right decision or choice may not necessarily be true for some. its a matter of perception perhaps. like glass, you and i might have done much wrong in the eyes of others. i think they call it going against the social conventions. glass ignored the conventions of maintaining factual accounts by allowing his mind to wander and cook up, what may seem, realistic possibilities. hence for sometime, glass escaped scot-free. ya. unfortunately, reality bites. and he was caught.

pieces of april. 80min of painful and wonderful memories of life. interesting concept as well..it felt as though we were watching a home video, giving the movie a realistic, organic and poignant touch. particularly was moved at the end of the show where snapshots of the moment were shown instead of the usual. to put it colloquially, it was a breath of fresh air.

well then, shall have my breakfast. before that,

congratulations nurul!

so yes..breakfast. dont skip meals. God bless all.

it was amazing. left the exhibition honoured, happy, thrilled, sad, cold but above all else, privileged for such an opportunity, no matter small, to learn the efforts put into realising this dream of theirs. Jackson and his long list of staff involved have shown enthusiasm, precision and a perfection that many films try hard to achieve. i left the exhibition with a sense of awe, respect, admiration, intrigue as to the possibilities a group of individuals capable and efficient in their own fields. it was amazing. a great relief it was to understand deeper the efforts of these talented individuals. and so it was that i left the exhibition more than a fan of lotr. i left as a victim of the whole experience.

a life less ordinary is playing in the background. one of them upbeat alternative bands. something like blink 182 but the diff is theyre not american. anyway, had my cereal- choc pops with milk and my daily vits: vit c, garlic pearls and evening primrose. upon dear charmaine's requests, the tag board is finally up. hope you're happy :)

well then, im going out soon. things to see. things to do. namely the lotr exhibition at the science center. its twenty dollars. the bloody downside is i cant take any pictures or at least thats what it says on the website. im bringing my cam anyhow. shall try my luck and see.

muse, a british band i think, is playing now with new born. very nish. lots of them angry drums and piercing vocals. piercing but tolerable. quite rare come to think of it but who am i to judge. for those who are into quirky british musicians other than hmm..godzilla, try ooberman's sugar bum. 'its not for you skinny boy' is among them incomprehensible lyrics. entertaining- always have a laugh listening to this tune.

talking about laughs, heard of this band by the name of butthole surfers. yep. butthole surfers. with their song called whatever. dark? moody? take a listen and tell me. 'i had a dream last night because you look just like a dream. she was on fire last night. and i was breathing gasoline. i had a dream last night and it fit me like a glove.' interesting metaphors..

gavin friday and butthole surfers have one thing, as far as i know, in common. they both were featured in the soundtrack of romeo+juliet. friday's angel sounds new age to me. sounds ethereal except for his sighing. i dont know. parveen, you might know better.

right. enough music chatter. shall have to make my way now to the coming of the third age. shall stick to coldplay for now. take care all. El dios bendice.

hugo montenegro's playing in the background. soundtrack from one of them spaghetti westerns- for a few dollars more, starring clint eastwood.

been thinking..somtimes you cant be too sure of anything. yes its an obvious fact to all of us but just been thinking you know. as hackneyed as it is, life is so unpredictable. lets smile now. for things could be worse. ive said this many times before to my parents. we have so much to be grateful for. for one thing, we're still alive and capable of making a difference today. what im saying is, thank God for this moment and be grateful for now. for things could be worse.

want to say hallos to aishah and teddy who works with her. hallos to parveen, noraida, charmaine and the other person who ate them brownies. hallos to old colleagues at the clinic, namely gerald, not gerard, and willie. hallos to my cousins: dibah, kak farzanah, khairul, nurul, faizal, sarah, humairah, the lots la. basically, hallo to you reading.

i think carmen is playing in the background but its not enough to motivate me to share my thoughts at this present time/moment, whatever. survivor beckons so ciao and..good day. God bless.

after friday with my contract officially ending on saturday, the 6th, which is good news for poor old me who hasnt caught any good movies lately. not since january anyways. watched two movies that day in january. yup. cant quite recall them titles. blame the chocolate or the faltering memory? chocolate. im growing older each day. so are you.

monday.

followed parents. mom went to work. had brekki with dad. after which, he sent me to that driving school. then, off to school. advice here and there. hallos and see yous. i made my way in the rain later that morning to lovely lido. movie was at 1230. i made me way to borders, isetan market, etc. bought 2 sake and tuna. and an orange. 40 cents- cheap compared to bedok ntuc. so at 1230, watched big fish without the poopcorn or the coke.

goodness. i cried. forgive me but it was beautiful. the cinematography, the storyline, the depressing allusion to life and the need for dreams. touching. entertaining as well. the tears warmed my face. i was cold. warmed me whole self after that with a bit of shopping. went to island shop and bought meself two long blouses. cant describe it but its of shades of blue. i had to buy. well not really. i tried them on. called my mother. asked her whether i could buy them, considering their prices. shes like sure, you're paying right. 'i'll have two of these, thank you' and i left tangs feeling very guilty but at the end of it all, satisfied. ha. reminds me of the movie i watched on wed.

tuesday. stayed at home. watched the net and mackenna's gold. good stuff. dad recommended that old western. did the necessary cleaning then just chilled infront of the telly. cooked myself a mean plate of noodles with penne. strange combination of asian, mexican and italian ingredients. tasted good though. and no, there was no purging thankfully.

so thats it. ''i wish to make an ANNOUNCEMENT. i regret to announce that- though i wish i could say more- this is the END. i am going. i am leaving. NOW. GOOD-BYE!''-- Bilbo Baggins of the Shire --
